Animal Treatment And Boarding
Hornsby Heights Vet Hospital has boarding facilities available for both dogs and cats.
We are able to provide for both long and short term care, old or young animals as well as providing care to pets with medical conditions and administering daily medication.
Hornsby Heights Vet Hospital are committed to caring for your pet while they are boarding with us. Pets are monitored regularly and records are kept on how they are eating, drinking, toileting etc.
Our trusted Veterinary team is always on hand to ensure your pet is happy and healthy during their stay.
We are more than happy to book a time for you to inspect our facilities.
Bookings are required to ensure we have space for your pet. Out of holiday periods we are usually able to take short notice bookings, however book early to secure a place during holidays, especially Christmas and Easter.
It is always appreciated that where a booking is no longer needed, we are contacted so that we can free the booking space for another pet.
Boarding rates include food for your pet, however if your pet is on a prescription or special diet, we request that you bring along enough of their food for the duration of the stay.
Although we do our best to provide high quality food for your pet following their usual feeding schedule, sudden diet changes can cause tummy upsets.
All pets boarding with us are required to be fully vaccinated, with their last vaccination being in the last 12 months. If your pet becomes due for their vaccination whilst boarding, we are more than happy to vaccinate your pet during this time.
Dogs require a minimum C5 vaccination and cats require a minimum F5 vaccination. Vaccination Certificates must be sighted by staff when the pet comes in for boarding.
Pets which come in for boarding must be parasite free, this means being up to date with their intestinal worming, heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick protection.
Upon arrival, our staff will check your pet for fleas and if fleas are found your pet will be given flea treatment at the owner’s expense.
If you would like to bring along any of your dog’s personal items for them during their stay, please do. Whilst all care is taken, we cannot be held responsible for damage to these items (for example if you bring in a dog bed and the dog tears it up).
Who will be looking after my pet?
Our kennels and cattery are mainly looked after by our qualified vet nurse and a vet nurse undertaking work experience. Pets are monitored regularly and records are kept on how they are eating, drinking, toileting etc. If any concerns arise, the vet is notified immediately.
On weekends our dedicated Vet and the Practice Manager comes into the clinic to care for your pet.
Please contact us via the form below if you have any questions or would like to book in for boarding.
