Jacqui Breden (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing) has been one of our vet nurses here at Hornsby Heights Vet since early 2017 and you will regularly see her on the front desk at the beginning of the week. She has one Staffy x, Randall, but loves all animals and has worked with a great variety, such as snakes, koalas, foxes, wombats, seals, fish, mice, birds and more. She has an interest in surgery and reception.
Another familiar face at HHVH is Briony Cornish, who you will see on reception on the later days during the week. She has one Taco Terrier called Mimi, but loves any furry face that walks through our front doors. She has a very keen interest in farm work and loves to accompany Dr Mina to his farm visits when he exams horses, cattle, sheep, etc.
Michelle Tansley is a friendly face that you will see around our reception and works very hard behind the scenes as well. Michelle owns an American Staffy, Thor; 2 Domestic Short Hair cats, Fang and Rusty, and has recently adopted a very sweet little black Kelpie, Peach. Michelle is our resident cat lady and we are confident in her handling our feistiest cats. She enjoys the surgery sides of things, and of course, cats!
Bree Thomas is one of our longest serving staff here at Hornsby Heights. Always with a smile and ready for a chat, Bree is here on Thursdays and at her dog washing business on her other days. Bree currently has 3 Domestic Short Hair cats, Oreo, China Doll and Imasu, and array of birds. Bree is our go-to when wildlife comes into our clinic and is confident in handling aggressive dogs.
One of the familiar faces that you will see out the front on Saturday is Ayleigh Robertson. Ayleigh’s favourite “small animal” is big dogs – the bigger the better! She owns an American x English Staffy, Pip, and is looking to adopt another dog. Ayleigh also loves horses and is sometimes found horse riding on her days off, or just hanging with the horses at the stables.
Steph Murray is the latest addition to our team, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) before coming over to study veterinary nursing. She has one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Louie; one Kelpie x, Chelsea; one white Domestic Short Hair cat, Lucrezia, and one Goldfish named Alec. Steph enjoys seeing all the different patients that walk through our front doors.
We also want to dedicate a massive thanks to our current students here at Hornsby Heights – Rachel, Catherine, Larissa and Jeevi. We appreciate all the hard work they do and are happy we can support them on their way to becoming veterinary nurses.
Keep checking back here for more information about our friendly staff!
