Bookings

Bookings are required to ensure we have space for your pet. Your dog is required to do a 24hour trial period, to ensure that they are a suitable candidate for our facility, once passed we will confirm the dates requied.

It is always appreciated that where a booking is no longer needed, we are contacted so that we can free the booking space for another pet.

Food

Boarding rates are a standard rate – please ask our friendly staff the costs based on your dogs weight prior to making arrangements. All food for your pet is required to be supplied and pre-portioned would be greatly appreciated. This is to hopefully avoid any gastric upsets that may occur.

Although we do our best to provide high quality food for your pet following their usual feeding schedule, sudden diet changes can cause tummy upsets.

Vaccinations

All pets boarding with us are required to be fully vaccinated, with their last vaccination being in the last 12 months. If your pet becomes due for their vaccination whilst boarding, we are more than happy to vaccinate your pet during this time.

Dogs require a minimum C5 vaccination and cats require a minimum F5 vaccination. Vaccination Certificates must be sighted by staff when the pet comes in for boarding.

Parasite Control

Pets which come in for boarding must be parasite free, this means being up to date with their intestinal worming, heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick protection.

Upon arrival, our staff will check your pet for fleas and if fleas are found your pet will be given flea treatment at the owner’s expense.

Personal Items

If you would like to bring along any of your dog’s personal items for them during their stay, please do. Whilst all care is taken, we cannot be held responsible for damage to these items (for example if you bring in a dog bed and the dog tears it up).

Who will be looking after my pet?

Our kennels and cattery are mainly looked after by our qualified vet nurse and a vet nurse undertaking work experience. Pets are monitored regularly and records are kept on how they are eating, drinking, toileting etc. If any concerns arise, the vet is notified immediately.

On weekends our dedicated Vet and the Practice Manager comes into the clinic to care for your pet.
